[access-uk] back button on a Mac

Hi,
I am using a Mac desktop computer and when I am on the web using duckduckgo. I 
am told that on the top left side there is a back button. How do I get there? 
or is there a short cut to go back. I have found that Command back does not 
work on my Mac!!!
