Well Peter - in response to your message, this is what the experts are saying, and in a way it does make sense. I mean....remember it's a major service pack upgrade, and obviously security is the main focus. Its = possible that patches would have to be coded differently between SP 1 and 2? Of course, this could be just a case of typical Microsoft I don't know. In saying that, I've not received any critical updates lately putting = sP2 aside, but that's probably simply because time has gone into the new = pack. Think I'll let someone more qualified take over from here *G*. I doubt security patches have anything to do with sp2. You'll = download them just as you always did, regardless if you install sp2 or not.. If = what you say was the way of it, anyone who does not download sp2 will not = qualify their system for updates? i can't see that. I'm = not =3D sure what time scale we're talking here though. Perhaps if you were doing a re install of the system, yes. But you can run into trouble by installing service pack 2, = =3D and that's not worth the bother if you really don't need it. Just my =3D thoughts. If list members are not able to help directly, perhaps someone could =3D clarify the subscription details for the dolphin list so that I can ask = the =3D above question there. Thank you in advance.
