Hi Andy, Glad you found my suggestion of some use. Now, re the error message you're getting, well I've just set up a new live.co.uk email account to try it and it worked. I couldn't replicate the error message you're getting. Thought I'd let you know... I would have offered to open an account on your behalf but I would then have an access to your password and details... Speaking of Windows Live, I was offered two online versions, one of which was recommended for screen readers! Pretty good!
Hope you get it sorted soon, Andy. Amro----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi Amro - This is most helpful, as it got me to the point of setting up aLive email address, from within the Firebox browser, the very thing I hadn't been able to do! Unfortunately, when I click on the link to create an email address, that page comes up that has been there now for about 4 days, sayingthere is an error with the sign up process that they are trying to repair! So, still stuck it seems, until MS sort things out at their end - Andy----- Original Message ----- From: "Amro Bilal" <amro_bilal@xxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 3:33 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Windows Messenger again | Hi Andy, Don't confuse yourself. It might be easier if you just create a | hotmail email address first before trying to log into Windows Live | Messenger. Open Firefox and go to www.hotmail.co.uk and choose "Sign up" to | create a new email address. Once you've finished creating your new| hotmail.co.uk or live.co.uk email address, run the Windows Live Messenger| application, and use the new email address and password you created to sign | in. | | Cheers, | Amro| ----- Original Message ----- | From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>| To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 9:44 AM | Subject: [access-uk] Re: Windows Messenger again | | | > Ok, so how do I use FireFox to get round the captcha issue when trying to | > sign up to live messenger, when messenger only opens in IE? - | > | > Andy| > ----- Original Message ----- | > From: "Peter Beasley" <pjbeasley@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>| > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > Sent: Saturday, July 26, 2008 12:16 AM | > Subject: [access-uk] Re: Windows Messenger again | > | > | > | Anything to do with windows will not open in Firefox.| > | ----- Original Message ----- | > | From: "Andy Collins" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>| > | To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> | > | Sent: Friday, July 25, 2008 11:37 PM | > | Subject: [access-uk] Windows Messenger again | > | | > | | > | > Hi all - | > | > | > | > The only thing I now have in my programmes pertaining to MSN, is | > Windows| > | > Messenger; when I click on it, a screen comes up, and I am asked ifI | > want| > | > to use my existing email address, or to set up a hotmail address, I| > click | > | > on| > | > a hotmail address, and it takes me away from the setup wizard to the| > | > website, but it opens in IE, and not from within FireFox, even though | > all | > | > other websites open in the FireFox browser!
