Steve,
Do you know where I can get the latest built of v8 please? The live
installer only installs v9.

Thank you

Hi Carol,

You don't need sighted help.  Just install Eset 8, and look for a tick box
that says Install Version 9 and untick it.

All the best

Steve

Thanks. I'll get some sighted help to re-install Esset and turn off
Defender, if Esset doesn't do it for me ...

Hi,
I am afraid the latest version of Eset is not that accessible. If you
are able to, install the previous version of eset, I think it was
v8xx. However, once the latest version is installed v9xx, the
programme is usable, but, not fully accessible. Please note, I needed
sighted help during the initial installation.

Ali,

Sorry, forgot to ask, which version should I install and is it good
enough
(visually) to get where I need to, with key installed etc) without
sight around!

Carol,
I have been using Eset without any major problem since I upgraded to
windows10 back in last November. Once you have Eset, you do not need
the defender, in any case, Eset turns it off.

Hi all,

I'm particularly keen to hear from those of you who have migrated to
Windows
10 recently to know whether I need Eset and Defender, working
alongside each other and, if I do, whether I end up having to install
and so therefore have a version which is not yet so accessible, or
whether I go for something else, because it's best to do in all the
circumstances.
Thanks for any input you can give on this.
