Doesn't that Norton removal utility have one of those dreaded visual verifications? I'm sure last time I tried to use it on another computer, although it was a while ago, it definitely had it.

Hi Jackie,

There is a Norton Removal utility, if you want to completely be rid of it.
I am never without it, because I have so many customers with it on. Norton
is spawn of the devil!

All the best

Steve

Hi Andy

If I remember correctly, my son uninstalled it for me as soon as we got the
laptop up and running, because I didn't want Norton finding its feet under
the proverbial table! I think he found it in the Programs menu, and clicked on Uninstall. There are doubtless traces of it in my registry, but it ain't
working now, so good riddance!!

I hope that helps get you sorted.

Jackie

Subject: [access-uk] Uninstalling Norton

Hi all.

I've just purchased a new VISTA computer and it has Norton on it. I've
not yet registered or activated it. It pops up at the start.

I've been using NOD 32 for almost a year and I was thinking of continuing
my subscription.

If I wish to stick with NOD 32, then I may have to uninstall Norton. I'm
a bit concerned about doing this however, just in case I muck up my
system.

Has anyone recently uninstalled Norton from a VISTA system and could give
me some advise. If it's too problematic, then I may well just have to
stick with Norton.

Best wishes.

Andy.
