There is an app that would allow me to play the audio MP3 files and so that is
not the challenge. It is the hardware that I need to plug it in. There are some
cheap third party solutions but don't think that they would be accepted with
the new iOS update.
As I said the iStick doesn't allow you to put a USB into it.
Many thanks
Sarah

Hi Sarah.
I understand what you're trying to get at completely, however rest assured
when I say that it is not possible to directly interface a USB memory stick
with an iPhone, it isn't. You can only do so through third party solutions,
the iStick being one such. The lightning to Micro USB kits you are
referring to allow you to interface a camera to an iPad for photo download
and manipulation, however as iOS does not have a filing system in the same
way as Android does at the user level, even if you could connect a USB
memory stick to your phone, you would not be able to access or manipulate
its contents.
All the best, Ibrahim.

The iStick has the male ends of both Lightning and USB. The Sandisk drive
doesn't have a port to put a USB stick either.
What I am looking for is something to put a USB memory stick in and then
connect it to an iOS device with lightning.
There a couple for Micro USB but the nearest I could find is the below. Not
sure why they specify it for a camera. Others that I have seen also
advertise it as this.
http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/apple-lightning-male-to-usb-female-camera-adapter-a10lt
I just want to make sure that it will be apple approved but how Apple are
managing this now I don't know.

Hi Sarah.
There are products like the iStick which will let you read content on a USB
memory stick, if that is what you're trying to do, however you would use the
app that you can download from the app store for that product. There is no
way of directly interfacing an iPhone with a memory stick as far as I know,
except through the use of third party add-on solutions.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi All,
Does anyone know where you can buy a converter that will allow you to put a
USB stick into it (female) and at the other end will be a lightning
connector (male)?
With the new iOS update, I presume that the converter will need to be apple
approved otherwise it is not likely to work.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
