Thanks very much for the suggestion. The problem with taking them from the
SIM card is that names are truncated when you copy them, so I wanted to
avoid doing that if possible. But I have done it now thanks to an app
someone on another list recommended which really did exactly what I wanted.
For anyone who hasn't seen or tried the Kapsys SmartVision2, I highly
recommend it. The call quality leaves the iPhone for dead in my view, and I
like the combination of having a physical keypad with touchscreen gestures
in the Android environment, it's great. I now have my contacts, Email and
other details set up on it, but will be keeping my iPhone to use for apps
and music.

As a work around, have you tried
exporting to your sim card and then taking it out of your iPhone and putting
it in to your android and then finding the import

Could anyone give me some straightforward advice on how to send my iPhone
contacts over to my Android phone, please? I have done some Googling, and
the advice was to link my iPhone to iTunes and choose iPhone, then go to the
Info tab, choose Sync Contacts, and type in my Google account details from
the field that appears. Well I did all that except for the part where there
is meant to be an edit box to enter my Google account, it just wasn't there.
I used JAWS and NVDA to see if one wasn't reading the screen properly, but
it was the same experience with both. My phone contacts are backed up to
iCloud as I have checked.
Does anyone have suggestions for how I can pull my contacts across from
phone to phone without typing them all in by hand? Ideally, I would prefer
a replica copy to go over. But what am I doing wrong?
Any advice welcome and appreciated.
