Ray,

        Thanks for your kind words. Adaptable maybe, but perhaps not in this
instance. In some respects, I'd like to be able to read Braille fluently,
but for me at least, the benefits simply aren't there.

        In terms of access technology, and technology in general, I have
been working on the Internet for over a decade now, so that is something of
a head start. It seemed logical to combine my interest in technology general
with technology assistive and see if something couldn't be done to work with
the two. Luckily for me it's worked out that way.

Well Tink, I must say that's rich coming from you, (smile).  If ever there
was someone who was eminently adaptable it must be yourself.  Given that you
lost your sight a few years ago, it is remarkable how you have taken to
access technology.  Guess it helps in your case that you were very IT
literate in the first place, but that hardly detracts from your achievement.

I'd say that those who know Braille are far closer to the quickness and
simplicity of using pen and paper, which I still do from time to time.
