I bought the Communiclock from RNIB about a year ago and it cost around £23. It will announce the time and if you hold down the button it also announces the day, date and year. It doesn't have a backlight as it does not have a screen. It's a very clear voice too, in UK English, male. There is no back light. You might find it expensive though. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barry Hill" <bbinc@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, January 17, 2011 9:44 PM Subject: [access-uk] Talking clock recommendation > Hi all > > My old talking clock has broken down at last, so I'm looking for a > replacement.
