Weird. What version of Talkback is it? Jump into Talkback Settings, and go right to the last line, and it will tell us.

It really does say 4 fingers. I can record it if you want? Lol.

The fact that it says such thing in the first place is odd enough and very annoying especially as it interupts audio!

I doubt it would say four fingers. If it does, that’s odd. You can swipe down with two fingers to access it.

My bad…should have checked the message before sending. It says 4 fingers, rather than 3. Just wanted to clarify that.

Subject: [access-uk] Talkback talking too much?

Hi,

Recently on my Motorola 73 5g running Android 13 talkback has started talking too much when I receive a notification. It reads the content of a notification but then says: notification available. Swipe down with 3 fingers to access.

What’s strange is that that gesture is to switch to the different window. What’s even more annoying is that while listening to audio such as Youtube video ETC. it will say that every time I get any notification where as before it would not say anything. I would like to say that this started when updating to the latest Talkback version, but I don’t think so as I’m sure for the first few days since the update this behaviour didn’t exist. As far as I’m aware no one I know has this issue, so if anyone has any idea why this would happen and more importantly how to stop it I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.
