Hi
I just asked \Orange to send me a note stating that my new phone was a
replacement for a faulty one.
Regards
Was the confirmation in the form of something from your provider? Or a short note saying you're original phone was faulty and you had to get a new one - signed by you?

Hi This happened to me about a month ago.
I rang up Steve, who was very happy to provide me with another serial number, providing that I forwarded him confirmation that it was a replacement phone, and not an upgrade.
This was free.
regards
Terry

Subject: [access-uk] TALKS and faulty handsets
Was just wondering if anyone had forked out for TALKS for a handset which subsequently developed a fault and had to be exchanged? Given that the same version of TALKS can't be installed on another identical
18/07/2005model, did you have to pay for another unlock code for the new phone? And if not, how easy was it to get another unlock code for free - did you have to provide some kind of proof to the TALKS people to show that you weren't just trying to wangle a free version of TALKS?...
