Hello,

OK thanks for this I don't think I will bother getting this device where does it plug in? I will read the instructions but I don't really like doing it. but I I can see that sometimes it's a good idea even to just read bits that interest you thanks for your help.

Hi Kevin and Carol.

Kevin, you need to use the TVonics dongle as this has been specifically
designed to work with the box. Internet connectivity options are in the
services menu and will only become available if the dongle or a LAN
connection are established.

Carol, you don't need to connect this box to the internet. Apart from
anything else, the benefits are nominal, you'll only be able to update
the firmware which is a straight forward enough process anyway using a
pen drive. A cheap pen drive is all that's needed so the dongle is a
rather superfluous expense if you ask me.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Martin,

Where did you get the wifi dongle, please? I'm wondering if it's worth
going this route.

Hello everyone

I am very happily using my T Vonics Freeview recorder and
have just connected it to the internet via the T Vonics
usb wifi dongle. It seems to be working very well and
have gone through the network set up with no problem and
the network test comes as being connected. However,
could someone please explain to me how you actually bring
up a web page and search for things like software
updates? I know it can receive the I player, but it is
not accessible with the text to speech at the moment.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me on this
matter.

Martin
