Hi Steve,

An autorun file can be used, so all that's required to load NVDA is to press
enter. It may not be as good as SA, but it is very good considering it
costs nothing!

All the best

Hi Andrew,

Ah, but it is not U3 compliant, so it doesn't launch automatically on the
key. That's the advantage of SA, and SA is better than NVDA anyway <Smile>.

All the best

You should try NVDA, it works very well from a USB key.

I have used NVDA when repairing machines that didn't have a screen reader
installed, and it really works well. It's open source and is under constant
development.

Steve,

I'd pay for it if it was on it's own.

It's very handy for an IT Technician like myself.

Even on my home PC when Window/ Eyes/Jaws wouldn't work the other day as
something went really wrong with the video chain, narrator wouldn't even
start but SA2Go came up lovely, and with the ten minute demo and a few
reboots I was able to get speech back again after uninstalling both Jaws and

Window Eyes.

A task I would have had to wait for and sortive was for a sighted person to
come round.
