My experience accords with Ian's - I wouldn’t recommend the scripts either.
Leasey from heartgen.org is also supposed to render Spotify accessible, but
you’d probably need to take advantage of the other functionality in order to
justify the price.
As Chris says, the latest Spotify for Windows may be worth persisting with out
of the box even though it’s a bit fiddly.
