Why do people want such small displays? I think a 40 cell one is small in
terms of what information I get. A 12 cell one and one is having to spend so
much time navagating to the next line.Interested though to hear what people use
the small ones for, maybe it for use with a mobile phone.

  Hi Ed,

The Esys 12 in my view is beautiful. It also has a basic note taker.

The Connect 12 is also nice, but no note taker. That is the Humanware one.

Then you have the Braille Pen, which is the cheapest on the market I believe,
but again no note taker.

Esys is my personal favourite, but disclaimer, we sell it. Price is
£1,595.00.

  All the best

  Steve

  Subject: [access-uk] Small Braille displays

  Hi all,

I'd be interested in any thoughts that listers had on the various smaller
Braille displays on the market, I suppose I'm looking at between 12 to 18 cells.

I know that the Esys 12 and the Focus 14 both exist, and wondered what your
experiences of these are.

Also, are there any other smaller displays? I thought that Humanware sold one
but the smallest I can see on their website is 32 cells.

I'm not looking for a fully functional notetaker, but I know that some basic
notetaking functionality is included in some displays.

  Thanks,

  Ed
