Slow Starting PCthe quickest way is to have a look at your start up folder and
see what's running, then just uncheck what you think needs not to be ran at
start up.
I think there is a start up manager on the jfwlite site, for the people who are
not sure what to leave and to keep running.

hi go to run and type msconfig, then have a look up at the start up page,
unchecking things you don't want to start up.
obviously you don't any references to your screen reading software, and you
may want to have a look what services you are running too.
ok when done, and your system will reboot a dialog box will come up, saying
that windows is diagnostic mode check this with the space bar, and you won't
see that again until you go in to msconfig again.
  also, check for spyware.
