Christopher - in the sender field, it says Skipe, and has links to Skipe.com
in the message, and links to learn more about Skipe etc.

There is also a paragraph saying that if you don't want to receive anymore
emails from Skipe, to send a blank email to "this address" which is a link,
which may or may not be dodgy, I just don't know. The bit that seemed odd to
me, was that in the message was a woman's Skipe name, asking me to add her
to my contacts if I join!

Hmmm, bemused!

- Andy

| Andy, this sounds like spam to me. No one invites you to Skype via
| e-mail; only in the Skype programme. If you want to get started, why not
| sign up for the Skype English mailing list? To do so, send a message to
| skypeenglish-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with subscribe in the subject line.
| When you receive the confirmation message, reply to it and send it. Hope
| this helps.
