Hi Chris it should really work without the software as I have internet
from Sky and I chose not to install the software. I would just give it a
try once the connection is activated and if it doesn't work then go
ahead and install the software.

Sure, fully understood. But is the software essential or will it just
work natively so to speak.

Once the equipment is installed the technition will leave Hannah the
installation CD and she needs to install it. They won't install it for
you as they aren't covered to deal with any existing hardwear such as a
computer. This is what I was told when I had VM installed and I had to
install the software supplied.

Subject: [access-uk] Setting up Virgin

Hello all,
Hannah will be using Virgin Media as her ISP for her new flat as she
has an existing NTL line. Now, will she need to configure anything, or
can she just connect via the ethernet or wireless networks once Virgin
has installed everything?
Thanks for any answers.
From Chris.
