Hi I am also looking for laptops. I have been recommended the Samsung r60 series. Has any one on the list used one of these laptops and what are they like? Also, does any one know of any suppliers in the UK that will ship abroad i.e. France? I had tried the Three USB dongle over the weekend because my BT Hub was having one of it's moments and wasn't working for the best part of the weekend until I changed the filter and cables. I have to report that the Three USB dongle is quite slim but the service is very poor as pages load up at dial up speed. This is what they call Three Mobile Broadband, but it runs at dial up speed. The other problem was the connection interface wasn't screen reader friendly so I had to connect by going in to networks and selecting 3G in the list of connections available. What I actually meant about the sim slots is that some laptops actually have a slot for your sim to go in so it would eliminate the need for a USB dongle. I now use my wife's Nokia 6500 slide as a modem for when we're out and it's just as same as using the dongle that it runs quite slow at dial up speed. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hannah Day" <hannahday1989@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2008 7:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Laptops with sim slot > hi i don't think there is to be ohnest but do you mean a usb pen modem > there > is but i've heard they are not good as my friend has them . so if i were > you i would get wireless hope that helps regards hannah > > -- > Hannah Day > E-mail: hannahday1989@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > MSN: hannahday1989@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Saqib" <saqib@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2008 3:15 AM > Subject: [access-uk] Laptops with sim slot > > > Hi is there a brand of laptop on the market where you can use mobile > broadband on the go by just slotting in your simcard.
