Hi,

Thanks for the news, albeit very tragic. I only ever heard the name in
connection with the Talks 5 demo podcast, but he certainly came across as a
man who was enthusiastic about his job and who genuinely wanted to see
advancements in innovation both technologically and with how the visually
impaired community does things together with our sighted colleagues.

I?m sure he will be much missed, and my condolences to his family and close
ones.

Subject: [access-uk] Sad news concerning talks developer, Torsten Brand

Hi Everyone.

This will be sad news to any user of the talks software and a tragic loss
for the accessible phone users community generally.  According to reports,
Torsten Brand, lead developer for Talks died last night from complications
during a Hernia operation.  Information is scarce at the moment, but
doubtless there will be a press release in the upcoming future and I will of
course pass this on as soon as I hear anything.

All the best, Ibrahim.
