Carol.
There are some beautiful Creative folding speakers around.
The two speakers are contained in a small plastic cabinet affair and the
battery and connections in the bas of the unit.
For listening the speakres fold up however for traveling fold flat to the
base.
They also come with a soft case.
I have had these for around 2 years but I know they are still available
because a coleague of mine in Australia was so impressed with them he
recently purchased a set.
Sound very acceptable for both music and speech and they cost around £40.
Try Dixons, PC World or somewhere like that.
