Hi Amro

I think the class makes a difference, the amount of data plus the model too,
some are far better than others.

Regards

Adrien

Subject: [access-uk] SD cards for the Victor Reader Stream new generation

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the SD card’s data speed used in the Stream New Generation
affects its responsiveness and speed when navigating book shelves and files?
i.e. Does the Stream become snappier the faster the SD card is? It’s not a
biggy but I wouldn’t mind if my Stream becomes a little bit more responsive to
be honest.

Here is what the Humanware website says about this:

“What type of SD cards should I use in Stream?

The Stream is compatible with SD (Secure Digital) cards up to 32GB. The
“Class” designation does not matter because Stream is not optimized for any
particular

class of SDHC card. Reputable brand name media manufacturers are recommended
for your SDHC cards. HumanWare uses SanDisk cards.”

My interpretation of this is that the answer to my question is no but I
wouldn’t mind a second opinion. Many thanks.

Amro
