Andy, you may have to reinstall Windows if system restore can't help you, sorry about that.

Subject: [access-uk] Restore back to Factory Settings.

Hi all.

Done this many times, but have completely forgotten how to do it now.

I am wanting to Restore my computer, which is an XP Media Center computer, back to factory settings.

I went into Programmes, System Tools and selected System Restore, but only got two options. These were:

Create a Restore Point, and
Restore to a previous setting.

I can only go back about four weeks, given that I had this function turned off.

Can anyone please remind me how to Restore back to Factory Settings please.

I've been having terrible problems with this computer and wish to restore and change my e-mail address as well as Anti-Virus and Firewall, in order to get back to normal.

Any advise would be very welcomed.

Best wishes.

Andy.
