Hi Ibraham,

As I have found to my cost, while such cables may appear identical, quite often
they are not. Some can only be used for charging and not data. I've had to
specially mark some here because of just that.

Hi Clive.

Honestly, you can go for just about any brand of cable, it really doesn't
matter as long as it's Micro USB. Search Anker Micro USB, you'll find they do
packs of them in different lengths and colours, also Amazon Basics do some as
well in multipacks. Good luck.

Subject: [access-uk] Replacement Micro USB charger cable

Hello fellow listers,

I have just returned home from a few days' holiday and one of my micro USB
charger cables has lost its pins and now doesn't connect. I've had a look on
Amazon and am baffled as to which one to go for. I have one for my Samsung
galaxy S4 Mini phone and the one that has given up the ghost is the cable I use
to charge my victor Reader Stream. I don't need a really long cable, one of a
standard length will suffice. Any advice most welcome. Thanks in advance.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
