I hadn't thought of that, I did download the nero removal
tool from the nero website but it seemed to be corrupted.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. I did the usual
Control Panel/ Add-Remove Programs to get rid of most of it.
Then I did a Start/Search for Nero and got some more. Then I
went to CDrive/Program Files and removed Ahead. Finally I
ran a registry cleaner, in my case Registry Fix, and found
the problem was solved.
