Ah, thats unfortunate. Thank you, but I should have said that Ive been
put off Brother by this printer I have now. I doubt theres anything wrong
with it, but it didnt play friendly when it ran out of ink and paper at the
same time. There was nothing my sighted wife or I could do to get it to
resume printing once it had been replenished.

Barry, We have the same printer/scanner as Jackie, and confirm all she says.
Id just add that I really like the fact that theres an automatic document
feeder which is great for scanning multi-page documents.

Ours is the Brother MFC-L2700 DW printer, scanner, copier. Weve had it at
least two years so that model probably wont be available, but it should
give you an idea of what to expect. I have networked it to our system, and
have found it very reliable and easy to use. I think it cost just over £100
at the time. It has a 250-sheet paper tray and another one for envelopes
and labels. It has other features we frankly dont use, but its great for
scanning material and doing mundane tasks. You can use it wirelessly, on
USB and ethernet if you like.

Hi all
My Brother printer is being a belligerent sibling, so Im looking to replace
it with a laser printer scanner. Any recommendations grateful up to £300,
although I would like a smaller footprint if possible.
