I don't blame you for being reluctant. You might like to try the Feedreader
recommended by James on here last night. It doesn't require net framework
either and has been working ok for me since last night.

Thinking about this overnight I am beginning to wonder whether the fact that
the 
Accessible RSS , unlike Sharp and the other readers, does not insist on Net
Framework 
1.1 being installed, may be at the root of its inability to handle certain
feeds.  I am 
reluctant to put this to the test though if it means having to deal with an
unnecessary log 
on screen at each boot up in future.
