Hi Jake

It works directly with JAWS.  But you might be better hanging on until the
summer conventions come round to get Pearl at a much lower price.

Kind regards,

Jackie Brown

Does this work directly with JAWS or does it require additional software?

Hi Pele

Thanks for the info.

I am not now sure if I did download them from RNIB or they were passed
to me from a friend.  I have just downloaded Judas Gate from Overdrive
which looks the same as your copy.  When I attempted to download A
Devil is Waiting it said that no copies were available.  I thought the
whole point of this was so you could download as and when required.

I will see if this new version works.

Phil

Hi Phil

Apologies if this sounds like a stupid question, but did you download
the books from Overdrive or get them from the RNIB Talking Book
Library on a memory stick?

I have just downloaded both books from overdrive.

"A Devil is Waiting" consists of a folder with 11 files: the 1st 3 are:

A Devil is Waiting.jpg
A Devil is Waiting.wax
A Devil is Waiting-Cover.jpg.

There are then 8 .mp3 files called
A Devil Is Waiting-Part and a number from 1 to 8 .mp3.

The Judas Gate consists of a folder with 14 files. The 1st 3 are:

The Judas Gate.JPG
The Judas Gate.wax
The Judas Gate-Cover.jpg.

There are then 11 .mp3 files with part numbers.

DAISY books have more files with extensions like .SMIL and .HTM.

I Hope this helps.

Pele
