Do you have Word 6 as this will read word documents in edit mode. If you are
talking about plain text you may like to try B read or Ped. Note B read does
not have a space. I do not know if you would have detected that when listening.
If you choose these applications you may need to install Python too.

I have a Nokia C6 and was wondering if anyone has knowledge of a reader
which works with Talks? The standard one does not read the text.
