Hi Ibrahim,

OK, got it, so less than 3P per label - not bad! Yes, we'll need more packs all right and a good indicator as to which packs we've bought and used from the RNIB so that we don't duplicate ... That seems the only slight down side to me, but I guess we can all work out ways of utilising the pen nevertheless and changing what's written on labels when at all possible.

I'm presuming though that so far these are just straightforward stick-on labels, so not ideal if you want to clip or tie them onto items.

I can't wait to get mine and have a good play! (Better label my husband while I'm at it! <Smiles>)

Hi Carol.

Not madleen but can answer your question. You get 380
labels in a pack, they cost £9.99 each and there are two
packs available at the moment with the potential to have
more. The only thing you should be aware of is that you
can't have more than one of each pack, this is because
the labels are identically coded in each pack however I
don't think RNIB will stand still on this, they'll pump
out as many packs as demand expects, confident that they
can make money on this.
All the best, Ibrahim.

Madleen,

How much are the replacement labels and how many in a
pack, please? (Just wondering how cheaply they're going
to work out.)
I can't wait for mine!

I ordered yesterday and was told it would be seven days
... then I heard the stock was off to Site Village and
these orders would have to wait.
Are you able to clarify what the situation is, please? Some of us can't get to Sight Village and it's a shame
if we have to go to the back of the queue when we've
already placed an order ...

Hi Pauline,

The main differences are that the Voila has an upper
limit of 250 labels, whereas there are thousands of
unique labels for the PenFriend; the Voila needs a
technique for scanning labels that some people find
difficult to acquire, but you need just to touch the
label with the point of the Penfriend; you can back up
your voice tags with the PenFriend if you wish; and the
PenFriend is around a third of the price of the Voila.
