Hi John,
Meet this all the time. I think it is because the pdf is not made in Adobe
Acrobat.
I use Kurtzweil to resolve these.
Kind regards
Aedan.

Subject: [access-uk] PDF files: can anyone explain this?

Hello All,

On many occasions I have downloaded and then attempted to
open PDF files, e.g. cooker manuals, such as the Beko D532
electric cooker manual on the Beko website.

This manual, on opening it with the PDF Reader, gives an
"empty Document" message and nothing is displayed. If you
then save it as a TXT file, the file is indeed empty.

Does anyone know why this happens from time to time? Why
would a manual be offered by a website that has nothing in
it?

John.
