Hi Andy, did you try updating to CDex 1.7 like you proposed? If so, and you can duplicate it with other programmes, then it could very well be a problem with your CD drive and/or associated drivers. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, but definitely try upgrading to 1.7 of CDex first. Good luck.

Hi all

I'm now running a demo version of JFW9, but it isn't making any difference to what happens when I use CDEX to rip CDs! It makes no difference if I select tracks individually and rip one at a time, or select an entire cd to rip, the programme rips the first 2 tracks ok, then freezes after ripping the third; by this I mean it hangs, there is no speech, and Narrator doesn't work either, and I have to reboot.

I don't know what to look at to see why I'm having this problem, could it be to do with drivers for something? CDEX is not the only programme to bring about this problem, other software such as PowerDVD could reproduce the same problem, so it might be to do with how my machine handles audio, but I don't know what to check that might be causing the problems, so would appreciate some thought/suggestions that might get this sorted for me.

I looked at:

www.realtech.co.uk

Wondering if there might be driver updates, But it came up speaking German!

Thanks -

Andy
