Hi Trace.Yes, at the cheaper end of the scale, you'll get maybe 8 or 16GB for the price of a 160GB hard drive. I was mistaken though, having looked in to the Nokia Booklet, it's going to have a 120GB hard drive but still pack a 12 hour battery life. On first hearing of it from Jackie, I instantly assumed flash memory considering it was a phone/pc hybrid. All the best, Ibrahim. PS, you should expect around 6 to 6.5 hours from your NC10.----- Original Message ----- From: "Spring.flower" <spring.flower@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 25, 2009 2:38 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Nokia Booklet 3GAren't flash memory devices usually small when it comes to capacity though?I forget how much battery life I can get out of my nc10 which has an ordinary hard drive in it.Trace----- Original Message ----- From: "Ibrahim Gucukoglu" <ibrahim_gucukoglu@xxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 24, 2009 2:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Nokia Booklet 3GHi Jackie.Yes, probably though I'm guessing here, but flash memory is going to be used for storage. On a netbook or laptop, if you use a flash based hard drive rather than a mechanical one and its a low power high quality model, you can expect to extend your battery life by up to 20-40%. To give an example, someone running an NC10 using a flash based drive would probably be able to get 10 hours out of the machine at a push, but certainly 9 to 9.5 hours could be expected given the capacity of the battery. All the best, Ibrahim.----- Original Message ----- From: "Jackie Cairns" <jackie.cairns@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 24, 2009 2:23 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Nokia Booklet 3GHi Ibrahim Indeed. The battery life on this device is certainly encouraging though. Of course, this will present a whole new raft of accessibility issues for the top screen reader manufacturers, becausescripts will need to be written to work with the phone applications which of course will varied from device to device.
