Infosound and British Wireless for the Blind have joined forces to provide a
new web-based information service for blind and partially sighted people.
The weekly service provided by Infosound and funded by BWFB started on 12th
April. All the information on the Infosounds website can be played and
downloaded and listened to on a computer or transferred to cassette, CD, mp3
player or memory device. Other 'information providers' e.g talking
newspapers, organisations providing audio newsletters etc can freely
download any of the audio material and use it within any other audio
publication or programme as long as its not edited in any way. Community
