Hi Chris

I had a quick look at a prototype they were displaying at Techshare. It
would appear this is going to be a mainstream effort that comes either in PC
format, or a Freeview box.

I have no idea how much or when it will be available, but RNIB are involved.

Kind regards,

Subject: [access-uk] New Freeview box that speaks

Hello all,
Does anyone have in-sight information about this new Freeview box coming out
I think next year? Apparently it uses text-to-speech to speak the Electronic
Program Guide and the menus, for example, so that one can enable audio
description.
Thanks in advance for the information.
