Hi Phil, Pity you could not have ordered a network ready version. Given you have a spare port on your Router, a network cable would have been all you needed. At the end of the day, you probably have two main choices. 1) Buy and install a "Print Server". (Parallel or Serial, depending on what connections you have on the printer) You can also get Wireless Print Servers if needed. 2) Hook it up to the desktop PC on the network, which of course would have to remain switched on when you want to use the printer. (I've not suggested the laptop, since I assume you want that to remain mobile) After that, and depending on what you decide, it's mainly a case of installing and sharing the printer, but we can cover that later. No the printer is not itself 'network ready' however I do have a D link wireless router which has 3 spare ethanet sockets on it. The wireless router is itself connected to my Toshiba port replicate as I use my laptop as the main pc. I also have a desktop in another room which connects to the net etc via a USB wireless dongle and the D Link router. I know this isn't the most usual configuration but I'm hoping there's someone out there who can make sense of this and tell me if it will be possible to have the new printer accessed obviously via the laptop when docked in the replicate but also when using wirelessly around the house and also ideally via the desktop downstairs. I have tried (and failed) to set up a wireless network having run the appropriate setup wizard on both laptop & desktop but no joy. You know me, never a straightforward problem, I'm hopeful one of you out there can help. cheers, Phil
