Chris, I ended up being in hospital a few years back and used a laptop on the ward. For general use it was ok but they were quite cautious about net connection. I used my mobile as a modem but also, be aware of the data package you are on. I was with voda at that point and was categorically told that the way i had connected to the system was a particular price and would not be exceeded. At the end of the month they tried to charge me about £300! Haha, when i argued with them, it was their mistake so I wasn't charged but check it out first.

The usb dongle is probably the best way.

Steve

Hi Chris

They probably won't have Internet access. If they let you use your Netbook,
you'll probably have to use a broadband dongle. It really depends on the
hospital staff looking after you. Some are better with relaxation of
equipment rules than others.

Good luck.

Hello all,
I am going into hospital in January, just for the day. I'm curious. Will I
be able to use my Netbook that I will receive for Christmas? If so, do
hospitals have internet access?
Thank you very much. Take care.
From Chris.
