Hi Darran.

The N270 and N280 processors hardly differ, the exception is about 60MHZ in the N280's favour. These processors are quite old now however, modern netbooks use the new range of atom chips, I'm not conversant with the details. The older chips are still very much revered and respected though as they provide a budget but powerful performance platform for budget computing. I'd have no hesitation in recommending a netbook with the Atom N270 or N280 processors.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi List.

Is there much of a difference in the performance of the atom processors I see in all netbooks. I'm thinking of the N270 or N280 for example.

I'm assuming the performance improvement is so minuscule as not to matter, but would just like to hear the more competent in this field say whether or not that's the case.

Regards.

Darran
