I am sure you don't have to do this.

Don't forget also that, if you're going to write to the same group frequently, you can use that function.

Enjoy!

Hi all,

Are you sure folks that you have to have an address in the to field? I send messages to multiple recipients all the time with addresses only in either the CC or BCC fields. I've just sent a test message with two addresses in the BCC field only and it worked as usual.

Andy, just to add to what the others said, another way to select names from your address book is, when you're on a new message, to go to (Select Recipients) from the Tools menu and it's all there in that dialog. You can add as many names as you wish to any of the To/CC/BCC fields. In theory, the people you're addressing in your email, their email addresses should go in the To field. Any one you're Carbon Copying the email to, their names should be in the CC field. The Blank Carbon Copy field is used widely to send a message to a group of people without their email addresses being visible to the other recipients of that message. I should get a life, I know! *Smile*

Hope that would be of some help though.

Think of it as a standard snail mail. If you didn't put the main address
on the envelope, how would the postman know where to send it? That's why
OE doesn't like it if you leave the to field blank. Hope that helps.

sending
