Hi Roger,

The dreaded Babylon indeed – poor you.

I’ve found to a major degree that most of these so called speedup apps
are a monumental con, and can often do more damage that they do good.

Fine to let them analyse your system, but check each issue and do the
rest yourself is generally the safest approach.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] MSE against AVG

Hi All

I’ve downloaded and installed MSE after a battle with so really nasty
invasive software led by Babylon which is an old well tried enemy of
mine. I thought the download site was Microsoft but after a further,
closer look it was a look a like. However that is now all sorted and
all is just fine. But one of the nasties was PC Speedup which found
who knows how many errors and wanted me to buy it to correct them. I
only look that silly, I’m not really so gullible.

Is there actually any justification in the error claims they make? I
often wonder if I should have some sort of speed up app installed or
not If so which one?

Roger
