I thought that way at first, then just decided it wasn't too complicated, especially as these folders are created on the Stream if a blank SD card is inserted to start with. Anyway, I shall discover for myself when mine arrives, hopefully later today.
Even if you want to try reading some Daisy books on mPower, you're advised to put them in their own folders; and from experience most seem not to work for me because they're either too large or too complex for mPower.
Anyway, just my thoughts so far ... -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx----- Original Message ----- From: "phil stephenson" <phil@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Chris, Funnily enough I was thinking the same myself, seems like a right faff. I was tempted to upgrade to a Stream from my Bookcourier but whilst I'm sure the Stream has more to offer I do not like the all this talk of having to make sure the right files are stored in the right folders etc. Anyway my rant over too...think I'll wait quite a while longer to see what happens with the Stream in future upgrades. It seems that books have to belong in certain folders etc. Sorry for the ranting, but thought I'd comment. This will be my only post on the stream;the rest I'll ignore. You absolutely must put your Audible books in the $vraudible folder, you can not put them in subfolders underneath that folder, as you can with other types of books. And they don't tell you that in the release notes. I think the reason you can't is that Stream looks for that hidden .sys file. It is either broke, or not very good <Smile>. Create a folder under the 'otherbooks' folder, maybe called radio, or anything you like. Now, transfer the BBC MP3 download to that folder. The Stream should now recognize the file's there. You could add other radio programme downloads to the radio folder, or whatever you choose to call it. When you've got to 'radio' in the otherbooks folder, simply going back and forth with 4 and 6 will take you through the other downloads you've placed in the sub-folder. People should bear in mind too that DAISY books in the in the DAISY books folder should also have there sub-folders to be able to identify the various books you've transfered across. If not, what am I doing wrong? I have tried putting such files in every folder that is suggested, but I cannot see them with the Stream.
