[access-uk] Looking for a program that will . . .

Greetings,

Firstly, I must make it clear I am using Windows98SE on my desktop and
windowsME on my laptop, so anything which does not work with **both**
systems is a total non-starter.

I am looking for a sort of reminder program, so that I can **easily** enter
messages such as:

"Remember today at ten thirty you have a dentist appointment at Grove Road
Surgery, Fareham"

or:

"Wednesday 15 November 2006, green bin day"

I want such messages to come up whilst the pc is starting up, that is,
before it goes to desktop, i.e in just the same way it comes up with the
clocks change message when we go from GMT to BST or BST to GMT:

"Windows has changed clock settings - ok?"

which on all the systems I have ever met happens before fully startup.

I don't want a complex program with loads of bells and whistles, just
something I can put in a message and date (or dates) to come up each time I
start the system, or should I be on the machine when it changes to that
date, the message comes up.

Thanks.

Colin Howard looks forward to hearing from you.
