Hi George. Your input much appreciated. the model I'm going for is just a cheapo one, the Z2320. The cartridges aren't bad as they have a return program where if you agree to send your empty ones back, you get a new one at a reduced price. Either way, I'm only looking for something for printing off the odd label, returns form or other stuff I need to print. Half the time it won't be used, so if and when the cartridges do run out, I'll probably toss it and buy another cheapo after a couple of years or so. ----- Original Message ----- From: George Bell To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, January 30, 2009 10:38 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Lexmark Printers Hi Ibrahim, I've had two Lexmarks in the last year. One was an el-cheapo in jet, the other a low cost all-in-one. In both cases, they used a single (expensive) colour cartridge, so if one colour ran out before the others, that was tough luck. The all-in-one is supposed to be a network printer, but believe it or not doesn't actually have drivers for Windows Server 2003. They fudge network installation, and for some reason or another, network PCs will loose communication. Only my bad experiences, but enough to put me off Lexmark. George. I'm in need of a replacement printer for the comp and would value input. I'm thinking of going down the Lexmark inkjet route as they are cheap machines and some of them have wireless connectivity. What I would like to know is has anyone had experience of using these machines and the accompanying software. Are they easy to set up? is the software at all usable with jaws? Thanks for any input in advance.
