Henry, I have an HPG60 Notbook laptop. It has basically the same layout as a desktop keyboard, something I didn't know till I bought it. I don't remember what the sound card is. It sounds fine to me, but I don't have a hearing problem so can't vouch for it really. It has 4 USB ports, so you could connect another keyboard if you didn't like the laptop's own. I got it from curries for £400. It has Vista premium on it.

Come back if you want more info.
Jill.

Subject: [access-uk] Laptop and headphones

Hi everyone

Please could anyone recommend a lap top with a standard
keyboard and a good quality of sound card-for I have a
hearing loss.

Also, can anyone suggest a suitable set of headphones that
are large enough to cover my hearing aids?
Finally, where may I purchase the above?

Best wishes

Henry
