Hi Jim
I have the same setup, except that I use Window-Eyes instead of JAWS. My
default sound card is an external card and Window-Eyes, NVDA and
Kurzweil play through the internal card.
Have you checked your settings in the control panel?
To do this:
1. Press <Windows KeyR> and type "sndvol".
2. <Tab> to "System Sounds" and press <Space> (Enter does not work)
3. <Control Tab> to the "Playback" Tab
4. Check that both cards are listed.
In K1000:
1. Go to "Settings" "Voices"
2. <Tab> to "Audio Device". My internal card shows up as
"Speakers/Headphones (Realtek Audio).
Also, the original release of the K1000 Version 13 did not work properly.
A patch was released. I have Version 13.04.
If you have done all this, which I suspect you have, I am at a loss to
know where to go, but I hope this helps.
