Yes, you can indeed use the Kindle and what's more a lot of the gestures are a
bit like iOS, such as flick down with two fingers for continuous reading.
All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Re: Kindle devices questions
Hi Jackie, all,
I was coincidentally thinking the same myself.
As this is an access tech list it would be great to hear back through here the
answers to your first two questions, if indeed blind folk can use the Kindle
device successfully and it's TTS.
I've heard of VI's using Kindle but don't know if it's the app or no that they
talk of.
It would be great to know in time your findings,
Cheers,
Tony

anyone has thoughts please.
1. Are the Kindle devices accessible to someone with no sight?
2. What is the TTS if there is one? Am I right in thinking it is Ivona Amy
or Brian like there is on the Fire tablets?
If anyone has a recommendation for a Kindle device, please drop me a note
off list. Please note it is not the Kindle app, it is one of the actual
Kindle devices I am being asked about.
Kind regards,
Jackie Brown
