Thanks for that feedback Mo. I will likely return mine as well because of the
long term question mark about its reliability. I still have the watch with me
while I await a call back by this chap who was involved in its launch. I will
take the opportunity to ask the extent to which the watch was trialled before
it went on sale.

Subject: [access-uk] Re: Kero Silence synchronised vibration watch
Hi Peter.
I've had nothing but trouble with mine either. I was really looking
forward to using it! In my case, the hands would not synchronise no
matter what I did! Sometimes the time was out by 10 minutes, sometimes
by an hour, sometimes by 5 minutes etc. The watch was brand new and the
battery was also showing as full power. The same thing happened no
matter what the vibrating time was set to. It's gone back to RNIB for a
refund as I'm concerned about the reliability. Even if they supply a
replacement and it works initially, what's going to happen when the
battery runs low? Also, the instruction manual was wrong. It said
talking watch at the top instead of vibrating watch, as if someone had
used a template from another user guide. It also specified the location
of the buttons as being in the wrong place, for example both S2 and S3
at 4 o'clock. How can 2 buttons be at the same place? The instructions
written in poor English inside the box were more helpful than the guide
provided. I'll be writing to the shop team about the above as well.
Very best wishes,
Mo.

I wondered if you are still satisfied. I have had nothing but trouble. I
sent it back and the RNIB sorted it by removing & replacing the battery. All
seemed to be well until pressing the S2 button started to fail to report
the time over the weekend. The alarm function never has worked properly and
a very helpful man who was involved in the launch of the product is
looking into it.

Yes I have one and I’m very pleased with it. It’s a heavy chunky watch which
is what I like. Yes it does have hands just like a contional watch but you
don’t set them as a normal watch. There are 4 buttons on the outside of the
watch, at 2,4, 8, and 10 o’clock postions. The 8 & 10 buttons are for the
alarm which I have not needed yet so have not played wit hyet. The 2 adjusts
the vibrations of the hours and the 4 does the minutes. The time at the
moment is 23.16 so to set the watch I would need to press the 2 button 11
times and the 4 button 16 times this also sets the hands.

Has anybody bought one of these from the RNIB? Does it also have hands? I
wondered how you adjust the time if it does not and any personal reflections
on it would be helpful.
Thanks
Peter.
