Hi Debbie.
Some of this is going to depend of whether the Calendar content is based on 
the computer or a server. JAWS 7.1 works well if the calendar is on the 
local machine,  you can tab through appointments press Enter to view/edit 
etc, control+N to create a new appointment.
However if the content is based on for example a Microsoft Exchange server 
JAWS 7.1 will often not read the information properly.
Not conclusive I know but hope this goes some way to helping.
