Use Lloyds TSB. You don't even need one of those annoying little credit card verification machines (are they all accessible?) because it verifies your transactions by calling your mobile phone and saying a PIN number out loud that you then type into a very easy edit field on the website. Very nice verification process. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yusuf Sent: 03 March 2011 14:43 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Internet banking I've used HSBC's internet banking site for years now and haven't had a problem with it at all. Its perfectly accessible with Window Eyes and I can't see why it would present any difficulties with other screenreaders. Has anyone used HSBC internet banking? how accessible is it to a totally blind person? brian From: Hazel & Kim Darvell Sent: Thursday, March 03, 2011 1:32 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: internet banking Thanks Andy for that. It makes m e feel better knowing other V I people can manage this, and when we get a little more used to the Jaws system I now feel we will take this forward. I've no experience with your particular bank, but if you go to their website, and follow the sign up process, it will probably be strait forward. You'll need a card reader to make payments to payees, if you want to do that, but these too are accessible now, and you'll get the chance to request one via the signing up process. If you have any questions, you'll probably find on online phone number to call. Things like this can seem daunting before we try, but truly, as long as you're ok with basic website navigation, I'm sure you'll be fine.
