[access-uk] Interesting Serious Windows Problem

Hi all, my friend's using a laptop running Windows XP Home SP3, and a blue screen comes up at the log in screen, as well as an orange-pink line. What does this mean? I know the blue screen is a possible crash but the orange line? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
